Surroundings

The Fell farm is situated on the so-called Langanes Coast at the base of the Langanes peninsula. Settlements have been on the Langanes Coast since the first settlers arrived in Iceland. The Langanes Coast refers to the coastline from the north of Mt. Gunnólfsvíkurfjall to Stapi, between Viðvík cove and Strandhöfn farm near Vopnafjördur.

The closest populated place to Fell is Þórshöfn, about 13 km from Fell. It has a sports center, where you can practice fitness of various types. Within the sports center is a swimming pool and a tourist information center. There is a supermarket in town, a grill lodge, gas station, the restaurant Báran, and the hand-craft market Gallery Beita. Bakkafjörður (30 km from Fell) is a small village of about 70 people. It has a local grocery store. Bakkafjörður is very beautiful and has exciting hiking trails.

Vopnafjörður is the largest urban settlement in the area, with about 700 people. Vopnafjörður is about 55 kilometer drive from Fell. About 10 kilometers from the town is the swimming pool of Selárdalslaug, a completely unique pool. Vopnafjörður has a variety of services.
